| Former Judge: Ronald J. McGaw, Esq. served
from 1996 to 2006 as the first full-time Judge of the City of Poughkeepsie
Court. As a Judge in this very busy court, Ron McGaw oversaw hundreds
of cases each day - thousands of cases each year - including Criminal cases,
Domestic Violence matters, Landlord/Tenant issues, and Civil claims.
As a Judge, Ron McGaw was widely viewed as both fair and knowledgeable, and
he gained a reputation for treating litigants, defendant, attorneys and the
public with respect. |
| Park Avenue Attorney: Prior to ascending to
the bench, Ron McGaw, Esq. practiced law in Manhattan, focusing his practice
on Intellectual Property [Trademarks &
Copyrights]. His first
office was located at 500 Fifth Avenue and 42nd Street, directly across from
the New York Public Library, where he worked with the firm of Nims, Howes.
Later he moved to a national firm - Fitzpatrick, Cella, Harper & Scinto -
which had its New York offices at 277 Park Avenue, as well as offices in
Washington, D.C. and California. |

is a graduate of the University of San Francisco School of Law, where he
served on the Law Review. Ron is currently licensed to practice law in
New York and California. |
| Memberships: Ron McGaw, Esq. has been a
member of the New York City based Respect for Law Alliance, as well
as the Dutchess County Magistrates Association, the Dutchess
County Bar Association, and the New York State Bar Association. |
| Personal: Ron McGaw, Esq. has been married
since 1988, and has two children. He is a produced playwright, and
enjoys writing fiction. |
